A few weeks ago I visited an eye clinic, and the optometrist that looked into my eyes ask me if I was wearing fake lashes and I smiled a bit a said “No”. She continued telling me that my lashes were very long, and asked what I do to keep them that way. That prompted me to write this blog about it, because blogging about anything makes it official, duh. So below I present you with 3 natural tips on how to grow lashes longer.
- Vaseline. If you are like myself and many other people who use mascara then you should know that wearing mascara too long could cause your lashes to dry out. This increase the amount of lashes you lose as well, not to mention the ones you lose naturally. So the solution for us mascara wearers, or those who just want longer lashes is to moisturize your lashes once you remove the mascara. I use Vaseline to remove any mascara and to moisturize my lashes everyday. I simply apply a small amount of Vaseline to an eyelash brush and use it to brush my lashes. I then let it sit for about 5 minutes if there is any mascara I remove the Vaseline but if not then I let the Vaseline sit overnight. Our lashes need love to, and eye makeup contains a lot of chemicals, so we have to take care of our natural beauty and what is underneath all the makeup.
- Olive oil is a natural oil you can use to help thicken your lashes, and keep them dark. Olive oil is jam packed with vitamin E and oleic acid, which will leave your lashes very healthy and looking their best. To apply just use a cotton swab or eyelash brush, leave it on over night and rinse in the morning.
- Castor oil is amazing for any sort of hair growth and it also makes the hairs grow in thicker. I have used castor oil for as long as I could remember and I love it. You cannot go wrong with it. Castor oil also fights microorganisms that hinder lash growth. Apply with an eyelash brush or q-tip, and leave it overnight. You can either rinse in the morning, or continue with your normal makeup routine depending on how much oil is still present on your lashes.
Using these tips will definitely help you see improvement in how thick and long your lashes will grow over the next few months. I hope some or all of these tips were able to help you.
